International Sand Art Festival at Odisha
Sand festivals are celebrated in all over the world; in this festival sand sculpture are produced by sand artists and exhibited the artist who produced best art; he or she was awarded with a prize. Traditional sand sculptures are sandcastles, however, at sand festivals one may see virtually any kinds of sculptures you would expect to see in stone, bronze or wood, the skillful sand artist produces very beautiful and eye catching sculptures.
International Sand Art Festival is a popular festival related to Sand Art and Tourism organized by Odisha Tourism during 1st December to 5th December at Konark, Odisha, India. Many sand artists from India and from other many countries are participate in this competition. The creator of best sand art will win a prize of Rs 100,000 money. As many as 30 Indian and 10 foreign artists are expected to participate in International Sand Art Festival organized in Odisha.
Mostly best sand artists from Mexico, Spain, Singapore, France, Norway, Germany, Netherland & USA and remaining 20 artists are from different states of India will participate and produce sand arts .Famous Odia sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik is taken as the brand ambassador of International Sand Art Festival event organized in Odisha.
